Obituary

Arthur Timothy "Tim" Glover, 71, of Troy, MO, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2025 at his home in Troy, MO. He was born on August 31, 1954 in St. Charles, MO to Frederick and Margaret (Hildebrand) Glover.
After high school, Tim followed his long-time dream and enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1974, as a jet mechanic, and served his country while aboard the USS Oriskany CVA-34. During his time in the Navy, Tim would spend time teaching kids how to swim at the Navy pool. He was later honorably discharged in 1977. Tim and Debra (Haynes) were united in marriage on September 10, 1977 at Spanish Lake Baptist Church. They were blessed with 3 beautiful girls and 48 years of a loving, Godly marriage.
He was employed as a medical equipment technician for a number of years and was an excellent employee; always providing for his family. Some of his hobbies were; fishing, hunting, swimming, softball, gardening and cooking. His favorite times were spent with family and friends, while he barbequed and smoked delicious meats. He also enjoyed talking to anyone and everyone (especially Veterans and the elderly). Tim was also the "King of sarcasm" and often told his favorite Dad Jokes or silly movie lines and also created new jingles to keep the grandchildren entertained. Tim would always make time to be involved with his kids. Whether it was coaching softball or attending soccer, volleyball, and basketball games, or attending dance recitals and choir concerts, taking them swimming, fishing, hunting or camping. He always took great pride in his girls. He carried this over to his grandkids, by making sure he watched Eli and Kayleigh's ballgames or going to Noah's school for different programs and events.

While growing up, Tim was always up for a neighborhood ball game whether it was softball or Indian ball. As Tim grew older, he continued his love for softball by playing on the Naval Officer's Softball team (even though he wasn't an officer) and on the Spanish Lake Baptist Church Men's Softball League. Tim's passion for softball also showed in his desire to provide balls and gloves for the kids in need of equipment.
Tim was an active member of Troy First Baptist Church, and also served in the past at other churches by singing in the choir (especially the Christmas and Easter Cantatas), visiting members in the nursing homes and singing with them, Vacation Bible Schools, 3 Mission trips to Colorado with the CPR (Clowns, Puppets, and Rods) team and a mission trip to Oklahoma to help with Vacation Bible School on the Osage Indian Reservation, he also organized a monthly Youth Nite Out program, and he maintained the grounds of the church. Tim was honored to serve as a Deacon of Silex Baptist Church.
Tim will be sadly missed and long remembered by all those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Debra Glover of Troy, MO, children; Jenny Marie (Zach) Sexton, Stacy Renee Glover and Shelly Kristine (Shawn) Arneklev, siblings;  Margaret Streeter, Kathy Bounds, Walter Glover and Allen Glover, grandchildren; Elijah and Kayleigh Sexton, Noah Arneklev-Glover, Kaleb, Liam, and Gideon Arneklev, granddog, Jimmy John (who passed away 3 days after his GrandPaw) and many other relatives and friends.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents;  Frederick and Margaret Glover, his mother and father-in-law; Dutch and Betty Haynes, his nephew; William Glover, his infant brother; Fred Glover, Jr., and his granddog Cooper.
