Bertha "Bert" Lena Emerson, 77, of Moscow Mills, MO, passed away on November 12, 2025 at SSM- Lake St. Louis, MO. She was born on January 15, 1948 in Oxly, MO to Clyde and Gladys House,  one of 14 children. She attended the local schools, with her siblings. Bert and Jay Emerson were united in marriage August 19, 1989 in St. Charles County, MO. She worked as a Manager for Troy Movie House for many years. She loved seeing her customers come in and spending time with her co-workers. Her favorite times were spent with family and friends. She loved to read books, play cards and vacation. Her eyes would light up and her arms would open as soon as the grandchildren would get out of the car. She will be sadly missed and long remembered by all those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her beloved husband, James "Jay" Emerson of Moscow Mills, MO, children, Jerry Wayne French Jr., Richard Eugene French and Derek Ryan Emerson, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, sister-in-laws, Ellen (Dennis) Goetges and Roseanne Emerson, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Bert was preceded in death by  parents, her  son, Dustin Allen McCluskey and her brother-in-law, Nelson Emerson.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Emerson Family c/o the funeral home.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025 from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. at McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory 1304 Boone St . Troy, MO 63379

Memorial Service will also be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home in Troy. Rev. Dr. Jeff Moore to officiate. Inurnment to follow in the Troy City Cemetery,  Troy, MO. Family and friends are invited to sign the online guest register at mccoyblossomfh.com
