Betty June Tayon, 91, of O'Fallon, MO, formerly of Winfield, MO, passed away on June 16, 2023. She was born on March 5, 1932 in Winfield, MO to Obe DePue and Bernardine Ethel (Crenshaw) Argent. Betty attended the local schools along with her sister, Ethel; and she graduated from Winfield High School in 1950 as the Valedictorian of her class. After obtaining her Bachelor's Degree at University of Missouri Columbia, she came back home to become a business teacher at her alma mater. On June 25, 1955, she was united in marriage to Gerald Tayon and they had 61 wonderful years together. They were blessed with three children; Loeta, Maurice and Robert. Betty enjoyed gardening and was a member of Calvary Chapel of Winfield. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her loving daughter; Loeta and husband Mike Wesselschmidt of O'Fallon, grandchildren; Jeff (Lindsey Castillo) Wesselschmidt  of New York and Andy Wesselschmidt of Kansas City, MO and one great-grandbaby, Frida Wesselschmidt, other relatives and friends.

Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gerald Tayon, two children; Maurice Tayon and Robert Dale Tayon, her sister; Ethel Lou Baxter.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 from 3:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m. at McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory 1304 Boone Street, Troy, MO, 63379, 636-528-8244.

Funeral- will also be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Mark Payne to officiate. Private Inurnment- at a later date.   Memorials- American Heart Association or Winfield Baptist Cemetery c/o McCoy--Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory, Troy location.
