Mr. Bill Burnette, 85, of Troy, MO, formerly of Elsberry, MO, passed away on November 5, 2022, at his home.  He was born on June 20, 1937, in St. Louis, MO to Walter Edward and Claudine (Oatley) Burnette.  He attended the local schools and graduated from Normandy High School.  He married Dorothy Adams on June 28, 1958.  They had two children, Tambra and Mark.  He later remarried Trina Thompson on November 1, 1968 in Clayton, MO.  To this union were born three children; Cori, Jason, and David.  Bill and Trina raised their family in Elsberry.  He worked as an auto worker at the Ford Motor Plant in Hazelwood, MO for over 37 years, rarely missing a day of work.  Bill loved to be outside, gardening, deer hunting, and especially fishing.  He would plan fun activities for the family, with long weekends camped on the Mississippi River boating and skiing or days at Six Flags.  Bill loved to dance and he was always the life of the party.  He worked hard and played hard, taking excellent care of his family.  Bill loved his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and will be sadly missed and long remembered by all those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his children; Tammy Burnette and Mark (Barbara) Burnette, Cori (Dan) Fitzgerald, Jason Burnette, David (Jessica) Burnette; grandchildren; Tonya, Sasha, Michelle, Danny, Anna Lorraine, Abigail, Ryan, Chloe, Raylan, Grace, Sawyer, and Brian; great-grandchildren; Christian, Carmine, Madison, Leander, Harlee, Cadan, Lane, Octavia, Julian, Lucius, and Elliana, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1304 Boone Street, Troy, MO, 63379.

Funeral will be held on Friday, November 11, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1304 Boone Street, Troy, MO, 63379. Mr. Dan Fitzgerald to officiate.  Serving as pallbearers:  Mark Burnette, David Burnette, Jason Burnette, Dan Fitzgerald, Danny Fitzgerald, and Jessica Burnette.

Interment- Elsberry City Cemetery, Elsberry, MO
