Carol Mae Pope, 77, of Troy, MO, passed away at her home on March 8, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 3, 1946 in St. Louis County, MO to Robert George and Gladys Olivia (Bright) Niehaus. Carol attended the local schools along with her siblings. She was united in marriage on October 14,1967 to Junior Pope in Valley Park, MO. To this union were born three children: Sherry, Jamie and Amber. Carol was an excellent homemaker who always had a beautiful vegetable and flower garden. She loved yardwork and spent as much time outdoors as she could. Carol was also artistic and liked to paint figurines. She will be sadly missed and long remembered by all those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Junior Pope of Troy, MO; her children, Jamie (Erin Smith) Pope of Troy, MO and Amber (Keith) Peal of Sullivan, MO; grandchildren, Autumn, Kyle, Amanda and Remington, Gage, Julie Ann, Breann, Keara, and Riley,  many great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Carol was preceded in death by her daughter, Sherry and her parents.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Old Alexandria United Methodist Church

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 1p.m. at Old Alexandria United Methodist Church Rev. Jack Gillespie to officiate.
