Obituary

Carol A. Todd, 73, of Troy, MO, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at her residence.  She was born on May 7, 1948 in Kansas City, MO to William and Thelma Faye (Huff) Scherer.  Carol grew up with her five siblings and attended the local schools.  At the age of 19, she met her soulmate, James Todd.  They were joined in holy matrimony on August 5, 1967 in Kansas City.  The couple soon after moved to California to enjoy the warm temperatures.  They were homesick and decided to move back home after a year.  Because of Jim's work, the couple later moved to Des Moines, Iowa and this is where their children were born: Kyle, Matt and Jennifer.  They later moved back to Missouri and relocated to Troy to enjoy country living.  Carol was a stay-at-home mom who took excellent care of her family.  She enjoyed reading cookbooks and especially liked to read old church cookbooks.  Carol will be greatly missed and long remembered by all those who knew and loved her.

Surviving are her loving family:  her devoted husband of 54 years, Jim Todd of Troy; her three children: Kyle Todd of St. Peters, Matt (Jackie) Todd of Alexandria, Indiana, Jennifer (Matthew) Coleman of Warrenton; her adoring six grandchildren: Hailee, Kaylee, Courtney, Sammy, Jake and Anna.  She is further survived by her three siblings: Sharon and Russ Parker, Danny and Julie Scherer, Joyce and Dave Chapman and brother-in-law, Bill (Edna) Todd; other relatives and friends.
