Carol J. Young,83, of St. Peters, MO, passed away on December 4, 2025. She was born on March 31, 1942 in St. Louis, MO to Frank and Laura Gaines. She attended the local schools, along with her siblings. Carol was united in marriage with James Young on July 18, 1978. She was employed at Boeing as an HR specialist for over 25 years, until her retirement. Some of the activities she enjoyed were; quilting, volunteering and being in the church choir. Over the years, they loved to vacation, camping and going on Viking cruises. She is described by her family as,  "outgoing, good sense of humor and always willing to help others out". Carol will be sadly missed and long remembered by all those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her loving husband, James Young, children, Bill(Kim) Osborn, Jeff (Kathy) Osborn and Laurie Ault, grandchildren; Stephanie (Jake), Robyn, Joseph, Alex( Connor), Gabe, Hannah, Hailey ( Josh) and Heather (Kenny), three great-grandchildren, sister; Donna (Bob) Dugan, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law, Wayne Ault, siblings, Frank (Jan) Gaines and Dot (Joe) Pauley.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025 from 10:30 -11:30 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2 Seton Court St. Charles, MO

Funeral Mass- will also be held on Friday, December 12, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, St. Charles, MO

Interment to be held at – Our Lady Cemetery and Mausoleum 8701 Orf  Road, Lake St. Louis, MO
