Mrs. Catherine "Cathy" Haase, 72, of Troy, MO passed away on Wednesday,June 22, 2022 in St. Louis.  She was born on February 25, 1950 in Sedalia to Lawrence Rucker and Barbara (Green) Rucker.  Cathy had three siblings:  Larry, Gary and Becky.  She met the love of her life, Doug Haase, during high school.  They were joined in holy matrimony on March 14, 1970 and were blessed with three children: Fred, Barbie and Dale.  The family resided in Marshall until moving to Lexington and then later to Troy in 1975.  Cathy was the secretary at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Troy for 34 years before her retirement.  She was a member of the Dorcas Society, the Troy and Rural Fire Dept. Board, Lincoln Cty. Ambulance Board, Fallen Fire Fighters Assistance Team, Supporting Heroes, Extension Club, traveling and spending time with her grandsons.  When she was younger, she enjoyed quilting, sewing and playing board games with her family and friends.  Cathy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.  She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.

Cathy is survived by her son, Dale Haase and fianc'ee, Michelle Mashek; her two grandsons: Doug and fianc'ee, Izzy Summers and Sam and granddaughter, Rylie Rieffer; her brother, Larry Rucker and wife, Raynelle of Kansas City; her sister, Becky Silvey of Sedalia; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Douglas Haase; her son, Fred Haase and her daughter, Barbie Haase; and her brother, Gary Rucker.

The family will be having a memorial service held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Troy on Thursday, June 30, 2022.  Visitation will be held from 1 pm -3 pm and Memorial Service at 3 p.m. Rev. Garry McCracken to officiate.
