Charles “Chuck” L. Douglas, 68, of Troy, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at his home in Troy.

He was born on February 11, 1958, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Charles and Ruby (Hamby) Douglas. Growing up alongside his brother, Rusty, he attended local schools and graduated from Fort Zumwalt High School.

On October 25, 1992, he married Lisa Hance in Troy, Missouri. Together, they built a life centered around love, family, and the simple things that mattered most.

A skilled carpenter and proud member of Local 32, he dedicated many years to his trade before retiring. He was a hardworking, self-made man who took pride in doing things well. Blessed with a sharp mind and talented hands, there wasn't much he couldn't figure out, build, or repair. His dedication, craftsmanship, and strong work ethic earned him the respect of those who worked alongside him.

Beneath his hardworking exterior was a truly loving man with a heart as big as they come.

Chuck was a man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved motorcycles, dirt bikes, old cars, and listening to good rock and roll music. He didn't need fancy things or grand occasions to be happy. Some of his favorite moments were simply being surrounded by the people he loved, sharing stories, laughter, and time together.

Beneath his hardworking exterior was a truly loving man with a heart as big as they come. His family meant the world to him, and he especially treasured the time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Whether enjoying a family gathering or an ordinary day together, those moments were what made life special. He had a way of showing his love through the things he did, the time he gave, and the care he had for those around him.

He will be remembered not only for the things he built with his hands, but for the love, memories, and strong family bonds he helped build throughout his life. His was a life rich in the things that truly matter, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
