Clara Marie Kunza ("Marie"), 97, of Troy, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 17, 2026, while surrounded by her family at home. She was born May 2, 1928, in Millwood, Missouri, to George Martin and Clara Catherine (Miller) Kientzy. Marie was married to Rudolph ("Rudy") Kunza, April 23, 1949, at the Saint Alphonsus Catholic Church in Millwood, Missouri. Into this union, ten daughters and one son were born: Janet Schieffer (the late Ron Schieffer), Carolyn McHardy (Bryson), JoAnn Kunza
(Harold Schulte), Evelyn Cummins (Coy), Donna Walton (Robert), Mary Sue Callison (Robert "Bob"), Phyllis Murphy (Jim), Jeanne Hart (Doug), Patty Pikey (Rich), James Kunza (Genedine), Chris Kunza Mennemeyer (Kelly Hardcastle).

Marie graduated from Silex High School in 1946. She excelled in basketball, softball, and academics. During her lifetime, she was a devoted, tireless servant to her family, known for her delicious resourceful cooking!

She is survived by her children, 29 grandchildren, and 37 great grandchildren. She was
preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her six siblings, one granddaughter, and two sons-in-law.

Visitation to be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1304 Boone Street, Troy, MO, 63379, 636-528-8244 . Visitation will also be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026, 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

A funeral mass to be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026, 10:00 a.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Troy. Officiating will be Father Eddie Voltz. Interment to follow at St. Alphonsus Cemetery, Silex, MO. In lieu of flowers , memorial donations may be made to L.C.C.O.A (Lincoln County Council of Aging) or Sacred Heart School.
