Troy
Cynthia "Cyndi" A. Gober, 50, of Troy, MO, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2023 at SSM Hospital, Lake St. Louis. She was born on August 18, 1972 to Robert and Patricia (Knight) Divine. Cyndi was raised in St. Louis and later moved to Las Vegas along with her parents and sister, Angie. The family eventually moved back to Troy. This is where she met her soulmate, Jeff Gober. He was 17 and she was 15, but they were meant for each other and were married a year later. Rev. Ted Bass officiated at their wedding in 1989 at Asbury United Methodist Church. The couple was blessed with three children: Robert "B.J.", Heather and Dustin. Cyndi was an exceptional wife and mother to her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed fishing and hunting with her family. Decorating her home for every season was what she like to do. Hobby Lobby was a fun place for her to shop, along with antique stores. Taking care of her loving grandchildren was paramount to her. Her family said, "She was a super grandma and cared for everybody else before herself." She will be greatly missed and long remembered by all those who knew and loved her.
Surviving are her devoted husband of over 33 years, Jeff Gober of Troy; her three children: Robert "B.J." Gober and Sofee Toth of Foley, Heather (Alex) Robinson of Troy, Dustin (Sabrina) Gober of Foley and her parents: Robert and Patricia Divine of Winfield.
