Cyrus Bartley Sr, 89, of Troy, MO, passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2023. He was born on May 17, 1934, in Newburg, New York the son of Jesse and Francis (Judson) Bartley. After attending the local schools, he enlisted in the United States Airforce. November 10, 1956, he married the love of his life, Carol O'Brien.  The happy couple were blessed with 5 children: Constance, Gerald, Cyrus, Kenny, and Gary. Cyrus loved spending time with his family and friends. He was very outgoing, talkative, strong and stubborn. Cyrus was a truck driver and his wife would ride with him wherever he went. He loved driving, going new places and meeting people. Cyrus never met a stranger and could talk to anyone. He had a special fur-baby, Layla, that he adored so much. He will be missed by all those who knew him.

Cyrus is survived by his children: Constance Bartley Woodward, of Troy, MO, Gerald Bartley Sr, of Silex, MO, Cyrus Bartley Jr. and wife, Carrie of Davis, MO, his fur-baby, Layla, grandchildren: Theresa Woodward, Brandie Brawley, Gerald Bartley Jr, Kayla Albrecht, Samantha Bartley, Kenneth Bartley and Duncan Bartley, many great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren,  as well as many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, 2 sons: Kenny Bartley and Gary Scott Bartley, and great-great-grandson, William Burton.
