Dan "Pat" Kennedy, Jr., 80, of Troy, Missouri passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2025.  He was born on January 16, 1945 in Clarendon, Arkansas to Dan and Ola Mae (Nelson) Kennedy, Sr.  Pat grew up with his brother and attended the local schools.  After his formal schooling,  he was called to serve in the U.S. Army from June 15, 1963 until May of 1966  and was stationed in Germany.  Upon his return from service, he worked as a horse jockey and truck driver.   After the unexpected death of his son, Christopher, the family moved to Troy.

On October 2, 1999, he married "the girl next door", Dorothea Hagan.  Together, they traveled over the roads while Pat was working for Creech Brothers.  They enjoyed seeing different states and appreciated spending time together.  Pat was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed and long remembered by all those who knew and loved him.

Surviving are his beloved wife, Dorothea Kennedy; his children: Dan and wife Paula Kennedy III, Michelle Williams, LaWanda Seabaugh; 14 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother and his son, Christopher.

Funeral – Thursday, July 3, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory.  Rev. Dr. Ron Bullock to officiate. Interment to follow in Troy City Cemetery.
