David Beryl Backues, of Hawk Point, Missouri, fought a fierce battle with small lung cancer.

Our Father in Heaven called him home Sunday June 8, 2025.

David was born August 27, 1961 in Chesterfield, Missouri to Beryl Jackson Backues and Helen Jenice (Edwards) Backues. David was the third oldest child of ten.

David is survived by two children. His daughter Natasha MacBride (Tom) of Wentzville, Missouri and his son Nathan Backues of O'Fallon, Missouri. David is survived by two beautiful granddaughters, Saige and Tessa Macbride and his cousin and caregiver Cynthia Meyer.

David is survived by his siblings Nancy, Danny, Lesa, Sandy, Penny, Jane, and Tim.

David was preceded in death by both parents and two siblings, Dian and Harold.

David wished to be cremated without a service. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled later this year for close family.
