David L. Bryson Sr., 76, of Hawk Point, MO, passed away on Friday, January 21, 2022 at Mercy Hospital in Washington, MO.  He was born on May 14, 1945 in Warren County to Richard and Ruth Mae (Hubbard) Bryson.  He had three older siblings: Robert, Vera and Alice.  David  moved between Missouri and Illinois several time and this is where he met his sweetheart, Nancy Walker.  He met her in April and three months later on June 12, 1971, they were united in holy matrimony in Illinois.  To this union were born two children:  Christina and David Jr.   Working as an insurance agent for Commonwealth Insurance which then became American National was David's primary job until his retirement.  He was a good provider for his family and took care of their every need.  Fishing with family and friends was what he enjoyed doing.  His family was his No. 1 priority and he cherished each and everyone of them.

Surviving are his devoted wife of over 50 years, Nancy Bryson of Hawk Point; his children: Christina and husband Doug Battles of O'Fallon, MO, David Bryson Jr. of Hawk Point; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.

David was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Robert Bryson and his sisters: Vera Shaw and Alice Meyer.

Graveside service scheduled at 11a.m. on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at National Cemetery, Jefferson Barracks, MO.  Officiating:  Pastor John Moore.
