Debra "Debbie" Kay Krato, 67, of Foley, passed away  unexpectedly on Friday, March 3, 2023 at her residence.  She was born on May 25, 1955 to Alvie and Barbara Smith.  Debbie grew up with her older brother, Tom and attended the local schools.  She was blessed with two daughters:  Amy and Tracie. The family lived in St. Louis for many years before she met David Krato. Later, they moved to Foley to enjoy country living.  During these years, Debbie worked as a sales associate at both Lowe's and Home Depot.  She enjoyed helping customers meet their design needs.  Debbie enjoyed watching crime shows on the T.V.  The First Christian Church in Elsberry was very important to her and her friend, Bradley Kindred. They enjoyed spending time together and with family members.

Debbie is survived by her daughters: Amy and Brian Carleton and Tracie Appel and her finance, Chad Zahner; her adoring grandchildren: Connor, Madison and Lucas.  She is further survived by her brother, Tom Smith, and Debbie's  significant other, Bradley Kindred; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of 33 years, David Krato.
