Diane E. Soucek, 73, of Troy, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 15, 2025, at Sugar Creek Assisted Living in Troy.
She was born on February 20, 1952, in Omaha, Nebraska, to John and Lucille (Schimonitz) Julis. Diane was the eldest of four siblings. After completing her schooling, she became engaged to Frank Soucek, and the two were united in Holy Matrimony on May 15, 1971. Together, they shared more than five decades of marriage and raised three children: Danielle, Shannon, and Chris.
When their children were young, Diane and Frank enjoyed family camping trips and spending time outdoors. They loved traveling together and exploring the United States. Diane was adventurous by nature and even went zip-lining in Colorado. Each year, they looked forward to visiting friends in Florida.
Diane was a nurturing and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished her family deeply. Her warmth, kindness, and love will be fondly remembered by all who knew her, and she will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her loving children and their spouses: Danielle Soucek and husband Sean Fritz of Troy; Shannon and husband Todd Henderson of Troy; and Christopher and wife Abby Soucek of Ohio. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren: Michael Borgmeyer, Jared Fritz, Alyssa Branson, Reagan Henderson, Beckhem Henderson, Caden Soucek, Claire Soucek, and Case Soucek; as well as one great-grandson, Jaxon.
Diane is further survived by her four siblings: John (Kim) Julis; Shirley (George) Reimers; Patti (Mike) Slama; and Sharon (Ron) Cerny; along with other relatives and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 52 years, Frank Soucek.
