Edna Mae (Trower) Belter, 89, of Troy, MO, went into the arms of Jesus on August 18, 2022.  She was surrounded by her loving family and is now reunited with her husband.

Edna was born on July 9, 1933 to Edgar and Clara Belle (Clark) Trower.  She was a graduate of Troy Buchanan High School.  Edna married the love of her life, Walter Belter on February 20, 1954.  They had 60 years together before he went to be with Jesus in 2011.  They were blessed with two children: Walter (Ed) and Sharon.  Edna was an exceptional wife, mother and grandmother who cared deeply for her family and friends.  When her children were young, she enjoyed camping, fishing and volunteered for the Special Olympics and Boy Scouts of America.  She was a member of the Troy VFW and Troy Freedom outpost.  Edna loved gardening and never thought you could have too many rose bushes.  She also had a great passion and talent for sewing and painting.  Her greatest joy in the last few years was spending time with her great-grandchildren, her animals and coloring whenever she could.

Edna leaves behind her daughter, Sharon Schmidt and her son, Walter (Karen) Belter.  She is further survived by her grandchildren: Melissa (Scott) Harding, Brian Belter and Elizabeth Belter.  Edna also leaves behind her pride and joy, her great-grandchildren: Isaiah, Noah and Margaret Harding.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Edgar and Clara Trower; two brothers, George and John Trower; one sister, Lillian Weitzman and her beloved husband, Walter Belter.
