Elizabeth "Betty" F. Shaw, 94, of Hawk Point, MO., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2022 at her home.  She was born on November 8, 1927 in rural Olney to Fayette and Lillie Mae (Neuman) Mudd.  Betty was educated in Silex Rl School District.  At the age of 21, she was married to her only love, Lowell Shaw on Feb. 7, 1948.  To this union were born three children: Linda, Sharon and Gary.  Betty lived on a farm her entire life in Hawk Point and loved being a farmer's wife to her husband.  During these years, she also worked at Peoples Bank and Trust in bookkeeping for 37 years.  Some of her many pastimes included cooking, (especially apple pies), gardening and canning, working in her flower gardens, quilting and playing cards.  As you can tell, she was a very talented and busy lady.  Being a member of Hawk Point Baptist Church and Hawk Point Community Church was very important to her.  She was also an active member of Hawk Point Boosters Club, Troy Octavia Club, Democratic Club where she served as  Democratic committeewomen for Hawk Point Township.  She so enjoyed working at the voting polls.  Her family was so very important to her and she cherished each and everyone of them.

Surviving are her loving family members:  her daughters: Linda Kay (Donald) Seeger, Sharon Ann (George) Hasekamp;  daughter-in-law, Nancy Shaw;  seven  adoring grandhildren: Lisa Seeger Suddarth, Brad Shaw, Scott Hasekamp, Diana Shaw, Mark Hasekamp, Daren Seeger, Jodi Hasekamp; 14 great-grandchildren; 4 great,great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents;, her husband, Lowell, her son, Gary; and four siblings.

Visitation scheduled from 10a.m. until 2p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2022 at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1304 Boone St., Troy, MO 63379 (636) 528-8244.

Funeral service scheduled at 2p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2022 at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory, Troy location.  Rev. David Thompson to officiate.

Serving as pallbearers: Brad Shaw, Scott Hasekamp, Mark Hasekamp, Daren Seeger, Carson Suddarth, Jay Hasekamp, Tyler Hasekamp, Preston Seeger,Caden Hasekamp and Lucas Seeger.

Interment to follow in Hawk Point Cemetery, Hk.Pt.,   Memorials may be made to Hk. Pt. Cem, c/o the funeral home.
