Evangeline "Van" L. Conner, 82, of Warrenton and formerly of Troy, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at SSM, Lake St. Louis.  She was born on November 15, 1941 in Chariton, Iowa to George and Laura M. (Hook) Bennett.  Van grew up with her five siblings: David, Georg Laddie, Marcia, Barbara and Marilyn.  She was married to her soulmate, Claudie L. Conner, for 62 years.  They were blessed with two children: Connie and Bobby.  Van was a stay-at-home mother who took excellent care of her husband, children, grandchildren and later great-grandchildren.  She enjoyed gardening, especially tending to her many flowers, watching anything with Martha Stewart, shopping and spending time with her family.  Van especially loved nature, the mountains were her absolute favorite.  She cherished each and everyone of her family members.

Surviving are her loving family members: her daughter, Connie Almond; her son, Bobby (Kim) Conner; her three adoring grandchildren: Amanda Almond and fiance, Justin Wyatt, Kasie Whittier, Francina Veurink and her seven great-grandchildren: Taylor (Tucker) Gates, Conner Schaefer, Axel Whittier, Hunter Whittier,Journie Whittier, Eva Veurink and Lyric Veurink.  She is further survived by her three siblings: David (Toy) Bennett, Marcia Johnson, Marilyn (Jerry) Hougland; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Claudie Conner, her brother, George Laddie Bennett, and her sister, Barbara Hendrickson.
