Bowling Green

Obituary

Evelyn Clark was born April 5, 1938 in Bowling Green, Missouri to Samuel and Virginia (Murphy) Clark. She attended the local schools and  graduated from Bowling Green High School. Evelyn later became a Certified Nurses's Aide and worked for Pike County Memorial  Hospital for over 10 years; and later worked for Moore-Pike Nursing Home for over 25 yrs.  She participated in workplace events such as the bowling and softball leagues.  Evelyn enjoyed playing card games with family and friends such as TONK, Bid Whist, Pity Pat, and Bingo.  She would stay up for hours playing Super Mario Brothers on the Nintendo,  But more than anything, Evelyn  loved being surrounded by her family and friends. Her grandkids, and great-grandkids were her pride and joy. She made certain foods that can never be duplicated such as her dirt cakes, and her "world famous" macaroni and cheese.  Her sense of humor was like no other because if you did something nice for her, she would reply by telling you, "you're sweet as bear meat".  Evelyn was loved and will be truly missed.

She is survived by her three children, Eddie and wife Tina Clark of Louisiana, MO, Wesley and wife Leticia Clark of Troy, MO and Tina and husband Marcus Lane of Bowling Green, MO, a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, sister, Dorothea Mae Cropp and many other relatives and friends.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents , Samuel and Virginia Clark and siblings, Stephen Clark, George Leroy "Bo" Clark and Edith Clark.
