Flossie "Billie" Haynes,92, of Troy, MO passed away on July 25, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 8, 1933 in Joplin, MO to Shelby and Lillian Joplin. After attending the local schools, Billie met and later married Jess Haynes. On December 26,1951, they were married in Pocahontas, Arkansas. To this union were born two children: Rick and Billie. She was an excellent homemaker and loved taking care of her husband and family. Billie and Jess appreciated good music and going out dancing together. She attended all the grandchildren's sporting events that she could. Billie was skilled at playing cards and loved to win. Her flowers that she planted were always tended with care. A quote from her granddaughter, "Granny went to Heaven today. What a ride she's had- full of love, laughter and strength. She was one of a kind. A woman who loved her music, couldn't resist a good dance and was always ready to go, no matter the occasion. She had a fire in her spirit and a heart big enough to hold all of us. She played such a special role in our lives- always cheering us on, always making us feel seen, loved and important. Her presence filled a room, and now her absence will be deeply felt. We're heartbroken. I don't know what we'll do without her, but I do know her legacy of love, joy and resilience will live on with each of us. Rest easy, Granny. We'll carry you with us always."

She is survived by  a son, Rick and wife Barb Haynes of De Soto; a daughter, Billie and husband Mike Hampel of Troy; four grandchildren; Kenny Haynes, Jamie and Mike Huttenlocker, Tanya and Nathan Abshire, Jessica and Kurtis Johnley and many great-grandchildren, her brother, Gene and wife Kelly Joplin, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Jess Haynes and all but one sibling.

Visitation to be held on Friday, August 1, 2025 from 10 a.m.- 12 p.m. at McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory Troy, MO, (1636)528-8244 .

A funeral service to be held at 12 p.m. at McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory Troy, MO Rev. Kelly Hardcastle to officiate.

Interment - Troy City Cemetery.   Troy , Mo Pallbearers: Dylan Huttenlocker, Michael Huttenlocker, Nathan Abshire, Kurtis Johnley, Koen Johnley, Jase Johnley and Kenneth Haynes.
