Gary Herbert Luck, 79, of Troy, Missouri, passed away peacefully at his home on the family farm on Friday, May 8, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Gary was born on March 14, 1947, in Louisiana, Missouri, to W.K. and Isabelle (Gentry) Luck. He attended local schools alongside his brothers and graduated from Silex High School. Following graduation, Gary was drafted into the United States Army and proudly served his country from 1966 to 1968 during Vietnam.
On October 1, 1966, Gary married the love of his life, Elaine Thompson, at her parents' home in Silex, Missouri. Gary worked for General Motors for 28 years before retiring at the age of 46. Gary graduated high school on a Friday and began working at GM the following Monday. While he worked at GM, his true passion was farming on the family farm and pursuing ventures in real estate.
