Gary K. McDaniel Sr.,86, of Troy, MO, passed away on March 5, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born on November 14, 1936 in Cahokia, IL to John and Leona McDaniel.  Gary attended the local schools. He was blessed with three children; Kenny, Kevin and Teri. Gary was a talented Golf Pro and worked at various golf courses in IL, MO and FLA. He loved golf and would even offer lessons to anyone who was around.  He was a people person and could talk to anyone. Gary was a sharp dresser and was one of the nicest people you could know. His life was playing golf and these last years living with his daughter and son-in-law, he was so happy to be living on the golf course and spending time with family and friends. Gary was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He will be sadly missed and long remembered by all those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Teri and husband Marvin Peasel of Troy, MO, grandchildren, Ryan (Jamie) Peasel, Tyler (Alyson) Peasel , Kyle  (Becky) Peasel and Grant McDaniel,  Sydney Stokes, Xane Austin, Xaiden Austin, Jayden Humble.  8 great-grandchildren and two on the way, his longtime companion , Janice Humble , nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents and two sons, Kenny and Kevin , grandson Kelly McDaniel and siblings.

At a later date, a Memorial Golf Tournament will be held to honor Gary and support a charity in his name.
