George Rollhaus Jr., 94, of St. Genevieve, MO and formerly of Truxton, MO, passed away on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at his residence.  He was born on Sept. 13, 1927 in St. Louis to George and Florence (Weaver) Rollhaus.  The family lived in St. Louis and George attended the local schools along with his siblings.  Even as a young boy, George was always a hard worker, and he continued this trait into his adult life.  In Jan. 8, 1946, he was called to serve in the U.S. Army during WWII and received a Victory Medal.  He married his sweetheart, June, and they enjoyed many years together.  They lived in Hawk Point and he had a concrete company, Rollhaus/Drago Concrete and also owned a car wash in Hawk Point.  Living in the country was most enjoyable for the couple.  He was a people person and never met a stranger.

Surviving are his son, George and wife Bonnie Rollhaus of St. Genevieve; his sibling:  Delores; his five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; his daughter, Jeaninne Stevener and his siblings:Elizabeth and Russell.

A Memorial service to be held at 1p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2021 at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1304 Boone St., Troy, MO 63379 (636) 528-8244.  Rev. Dr. Jeffery Moore to officiate.
