Howard "Dean" Campbell, 69, of Troy, MO, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2022. He was born on July 5, 1953, in Salem, Illinois, the son of Willard and Helen Campbell. After attending the local schools, he went on to graduate at Pinckneyville High School. Dean then became interested in the trucking business, and eventually found his way to Creech Brothers Truck Lines. For over 40 years, he has worked for the Creech family. He was an outstanding dispatcher, and truck driver. Pretty much anything that needed to be done, he did it. Dean was working up until his passing. He gave his job his all, and genuinely cared about the customers and staff. When he wasn't working he could be found fishing, throwing darts, playing pool, or playing his drums. Dean also likes to cut his grass and keep his lawn manicured. He never met a stranger and always wore a million dollar smile. Dean loved people and became friends with everyone he met. He will be remembered lovingly by all those who knew him.
Dean is survived by his children: Jason Campbell of Troy, and Tabatha (Zach Duff) Adkins of Moscow Mills, his wife, Sherry Campbell of Winfield and his significant other, Debbie Dickherber of Foristell, 3 grandchildren: Bradlee, Dillon, and Camden Campbell, and one great-grandchild; Amelia Campbell, Debbie's children; Kory Smith, Savanna Dickherber, Isabella Smith, Aurora and Ian Smith, Shawn Castle, Katelynn Dickherber, Hayden Castle, Mallory Castle and Hunter Castle, 3 nephews: Jimmy and Heather Davis of California, Steve and Debbie Campbell of Illinois, and Timmy Campbell of Illinois, 2 nieces: Danna Libby of Illinois, and Robin Pashia of Illinois, as well as many, many other relatives and friends.
