Jack E. Abshier, 72, of Bowling Green, MO, passed away on Friday, January 28, 2022 at Hannibal Regional Hospital.  He was born on December 10, 1949 in St. Louis to Raymond and Ruby (Read) Abshier.  Jack grew up with his four siblings: Raymond, Teddy Joe, Ronnie, and Denny.  He was blessed to be the father of his three children: Vanessa, Tiffany and Luke.  Working in different fields such as being a machinist, draftsman and working for the Bowling Green prison were some of his various jobs.  He was a talented artist and worked in different medias.  Being a foster parent to many children had been a big part of who he was as a person.  His sense of humor enabled him to connect with his foster children.  They would have water fights and played various games together.  On September 5, 2003, he was joined in holy matrimony in Union, MO to his soulmate, Deborah "Deb"  (Beanblossom).  They have been fortunate to spend over 18 years together.   Jack will be greatly missed and long remembered by all those who knew and loved him.

Surviving are his devoted wife, Deb Abshier of Bowling Green; his loving children:  Tiffany Abshier-Reid;  Luke Abshier; his adoring grandchildren: Dalton Reid, Eric Reid, Cole Reid and Gwendolyn Reid and his brother, Denny and wife Peg Walton; other relatives and friends.

Jack was preceded in death by his  daughter: Vanessa Hutchinson and his siblings: Raymond Abshier, Teddy Joe Abshier, and Ronnie Abshier.
