Jack Maxam, 83, of Winfield, Missouri, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2023 at DePaul Hospital in Bridgeton.  He was born on February 16, 1940 to Max and Susan (Rhinehart) Maxam.  At the age of 20, he married his sweetheart, Barbara Creech, on March 11, 1960 in Winfield. They were blessed with four children: Julie, Daniel, Max and Melinda.  Jack was a good provider for his family and had worked at McDonnell-Douglas for 30 years before his retirement.  During his spare time, he was an avid guitar and upright base player.  His family was his No. 1 priority and music was a great pastime for him.  He loved entertaining people and bringing joy to their lives.

Surviving are his devoted wife of over 63 years, Barbara Maxam of Winfield; his  four children: Julie Maxam-Kearns and Shawn of Ohio, Daniel (Debbie) Maxam of Virginia, Max Maxam of Texas and Melinda Bearman of Missouri; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and his brother, Richard (Kathryn) Maxam of Lincoln County.
