"Jack" John W. Wagner, 62, of Troy, MO, passed away at his home on January 30, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 11, 1960 to Wesley Roland and Norma Jean (Miller) Wagner.

Jack attended the local schools and graduated from Buchanan High School in 1979. He later went on to attend Missouri Tech and get an Associates Degree in Electronics. Jack retired from General Motors after working 18 years, and was loved by all his coworkers. Jack and Deb were married on June 22, 1996 at First Baptist Church in Troy, MO. They raised three children together: Rebekah, Jenesah and Corey. Later, Jack was better known as Grampy to his seven grandchildren. Jack loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, and playing music with his buddies. He and Deb loved to go camping, and most of all, doing anything with their grandbabies.

He was always ready to share a corny dad joke and was gentle and loving to all those he met. Jack will be sadly missed and long remembered by all those he knew and loved.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Deb Wagner of Troy; three children: Rebekah and husband Matt Messick of Wentzville, MO, Jenesah and husband Dave Denney of Otley, Iowa, and Corey Wagner of Troy, MO; his mother, Norma Jean Wagner of Troy, MO; his seven grandchildren: Adelyn Messick, Cadence Denney, Emmett Messick, Jaxxson Wagner, Kinsley Wagner, Truman Denney, and Alorah Wagner; his siblings: Sandy and husband Ken Schmid of Rolla, MO, Karen and husband Danny Mills of Ironton, MO; mother-in-law, Pearl Giesmann of Troy, MO; two sisters-in-law: Linda and husband Newt Vanderford, and Wilda Staufer; nieces and nephews: Michael Snyder, Sarah and husband Trae Hester, Ryan and wife Ashlee Finley, Tyler and wife Juliana Finley, Jessica Myers, Kristen Schmid, Matt and wife Mackenzie Schmid, Jake and wife Paige Colbert, Joe Colbert, and other relatives and friends.

Jack was preceded in death by his father, Wesley Roland Wagner, and his fathers-in-law, Wilbur Godsey and Damon Giesmann.

Pallbearers will be Corey Wagner, Matt Messick, Dave Denney, and life-long friend, Marty Ferrell.  Honorary Pallbearers include Trae Hester, Ryan Finley, Tyler Finley, Joe Colbert, Jake Colbert, Matt Schmid, Danny Mills, Ken Schmid, and Newt Vanderford.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1304 Boone Street, Troy, MO, 63379, 636-528-8244.

Funeral will also be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Troy.  Pastor Nick Tallo to officiate.
