Jackie Thornton,82, of Troy, MO, passed away at Lincoln County Nursing and Rehab in Troy. She was born on April 1, 1939 in Alton, IL to John and Violet Kalaski. Jackie attended the local schools. She and Louis Thornton were united in marriage on April 1, 1962 in West Alton, IL at her parents' home. They became a blended family with; Cindy Lou, Cindy Jane, Don and Larry. Jackie enjoyed embroidery, sewing and taking care of her flower gardens. She was happiest when spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Louis Thornton of Troy; children; Cindy Lou and husband Stan Kincaid of Brighton, IL, Cindy Jane Epley of Brighton, IL, Don Twitchel of Orange Beach, Alabama, Larry Louis and wife Dee Ann Thornton Sr. of Troy, MO; 11 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild on-the-way, many other relatives and friends.

Jackie was preceded in death by her parents and her son-in-law, Bill Epley.
