John Anthony Costa, 80, of Winfield, MO, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at his home in Winfield, MO. He was born on May 21,1944, in St. Louis, MO to Joseph and Anna Belle (Neuerberg) Costa. John was united in marriage with Jackie (Wayland) on April 15, 1967, in St. Louis, MO. To this union were born three children; Joseph Andrew, Daniel Wayland, and Nicole Deeann. John was a machinist for McDonnell-Douglas (now Boeing) for over 25 years, until he retired. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being under the night sky. "The Hill" in St. Louis was his favorite place to eat out but he was an excellent cook himself. Sitting around a bonfire with family and friends telling old stories was a wonderful evening for him. He is described by his family as, "outgoing, boisterous and a loyal St. Louis Cardinals fan." He loved his family and missed his beautiful wife, Jackie, every day.

John is survived by his children, Joe and wife Anne Costa, Dan Costa, and Nicole Costa, and four grandchildren, Jarrett Costa, Shane Costa, Patrick Koeneker and Elizabeth Koeneker. Others that John called family includes the Hopkins, the VanderBols, and the Hummels. John leaves behind many friends and family and will be sadly missed by all those who loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers and his beloved wife, Jackie Costa.
