Joseph "Scott" Leitman, 57, of Moscow Mills, MO, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2022 at BJC (Siteman Cancer Center) Hospital in St. Louis. Scott's passing was due to A.L.L. and M.D.S., both are a type of blood cancer. He was born December 9, 1964 in Troy to Homer and Patricia (Druhe) Leitman. Scott grew up with four siblings: Cliff, Michelle, Noel and Nicole. He attended Sacred Heart School through the eighth grade and graduated from Troy Buchanan High School. Scott met his wife, Kim Johnson in Feb. of 1988. Eight months later, Oct. 8, 1988, they were joined in holy matrimony on Scott's grandma's front porch. To this union, in 1990 was born their daughter, Tracy, who was his pride and joy. He was a great provider for his family and worked for Croft Electric for 10 years prior to being employed at Cuivre River Electric for more than 25 years. Aside from working full time, he also farmed, enjoyed raising cattle and was always willing to lend a hand. He was constantly busy. Some of his hobbies included hunting, fishing, baling hay, barbecuing, and working on projects around the farm. His family remembers his delicious fried fish, and that one dish, that never really had a name. Scott was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Troy.
