Katherine "Kathy"
Pearl Lamberson
Nov 15, 1964 — Aug 17, 2026
Vandalia
Katherine "Kathy" Pearl Lamberson, 61, of Vandalia, Missouri, passed away peacefully at her home on August 17, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on November 15, 1964, in Hannibal, Missouri, Kathy was the daughter of Guy Edward and Donna (DeGraffenreid) Marshall. She graduated from Van-Far High School and went on to build a life centered on faith, family, kindness, and caring for others.
Kathy met the love of her life, Paul Lamberson, and they were united in marriage on December 1, 1990, in their home in Vandalia, Missouri.
Kathy was known for her sweet and gentle spirit, always showing kindness to everyone she met. She had a special gift for caregiving, which was evident in her work at PCADD and later in the loving care she gave her mother at home. After raising her children, Kathy worked at Alco, County Market, Greens Supply, and Soft Surroundings.
She found joy in life's simple and beautiful moments. Kathy had a beautiful voice and loved playing guitar alongside her brothers when they gathered together. She also cherished singing at church. She loved being outdoors, growing beautiful plants and flowers, and spending time fishing and camping. More than anything, she treasured time with her grandchildren. One of her favorite pastimes was riding all kinds of bikes with her beloved husband, Paul.
Kathy's faith was a guiding light throughout her life, and though she will be deeply and forever missed, her family finds comfort in the assurance that, through that faith, they will meet again.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy Edward and Donna Marshall; and two brothers, Bennie Marshall and Bo Marshall.
She is lovingly survived by her husband, Paul Lamberson of Vandalia, Missouri; her daughters, Aleecia (Mike) Dillon of Eolia, Missouri, Janice Schoneboom of Vandalia, Missouri, Bethany (Eric) Shores of Shelbina, Missouri, and Summer (Dustin) Kuntz of Jasper, Georgia; her brothers, David (Debbie) Marshall and Timothy (Sara) Marshall; her sisters, Judy (Rick) Francis, Patty (Jeff) Stathem, and Donna (Greg) McCune; her grandchildren, Joseph, Layla, Austin, Genesis, Hailee, Levon James, Dominic, Paul, Eli, Wyatt, and Westin; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
The family will hold a private Celebration of Life at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association - Cancer Research, in care of the funeral home.
