Kathryn "Kathy" M. Hutcheson, 81, of Troy, Missouri, passed away peacefully, with her granddaughters by her side, on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at SSM Hospital, Lake St. Louis, MO. She was born on Oct. 6, 1942 in St. Louis, to Mr. & Mrs. Schnarr.  Kathy grew up with her older brother, Albert "Skip", and she graduated from high school in Clayton.

Kathy later met her future husband, James "Butch" Hutcheson, at a dance competition along with their friends, Junior and Sandy.  At the age of 20, she was united in holy matrimony to Butch on February 16, 1962, in St. Louis.   They moved to South County and Rockhill before moving to Troy in 1986.  They were blessed with two sons: James Randolph "Randy" and Joseph "Joe" Turner.

Butch and Kathy's home was always open to Randy and Joe's friends. She always would say "come on in, and sit down", then she would start bringing out the food. Kathy was a second mother/grandmother to many, and she truly loved them all. Her caring and loving nature made everyone feel welcome. She was a wonderful listener and a very kind person.  Kathy had worked for many years as a Kroger pharmacy technician. She enjoyed her work and the many friends that she made. Kathy loved all animals, especially dogs, and they were her babies. She always gave them lots of treats and love. She enjoyed tending to her flower gardens, and she especially loved horses.  In her later years, she enjoyed going out for breakfast and going to the casino with her sister-in-law. In her spare time, Kathy really enjoyed going shopping with her granddaughters. Her family was always her first priority and she cherished each and every one of them. She will be remembered lovingly by all those who knew her.

She is survived by her loving family members:  her son, James Randolph "Randy" Hutcheson of Troy; her stepdaughters: Terry (Dick) Lane, Connie (Donnie) Agnew; her grandchildren: Michelle Lane, Leslie ( Matt) Sacco, Nicholas (Natasha) Agnew, Ashley Trentman, Lindsey Dugan, Sarah Hutcheson and Annie (Cody) House.  Kathy is further survived by her great-grandchildren: Mason, Lania, Maddelynn, Alayna, Maxin, Aliviah, Scarlett, Kohen, Alorah, Shane, Elsie, and Kamren; her special sister-in-law, Lynda Humphreys; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband of 42 years, James "Butch" Hutcheson;  their son, Joseph "Joe" Hutcheson;  her brother, Skip Schnarr;  and  nephew,  Jeffrey Becker.
