Kitty Ann McCurdy, 65, of Middletown, MO, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2024. She was born on January 25, 1958, in Pike County, MO, the daughter of Lacy and Mary (Chandler) Martin. After attending the local schools, Kitty married the love of her life, Sonny Eugene McCurdy Jr., on March 1, 1975, at the First Baptist Church in Curryville, MO. The happy couple was blessed with 4 children: Sonny Lee, Loretta, Kevin, Dora Ann  and they were the light of her life. After the passing of her father, Kitty's mother, married, Pete Williams, and he was a very loving step-father to Kitty.  She worked for many years as a Certified Nurse's Aide and later in housekeeping at the Tri County and Nursing Care Center in Vandalia, and always gave 100%. When she wasn't working, Kitty enjoyed time spent with her family, camping, watching television and spending time with her beloved Chihuahua, Sugar. She also enjoyed bowling and just spending time at home. Several years ago, Kitty and Sonny went on a cruise to the Bahamas, and they had the most wonderful time together. They also enjoyed their time spent in Branson, MO. She will be remembered lovingly by all those who knew her.

Kitty is survived by her beloved husband of almost 49 years, Sonny McCurdy of Middletown, MO, her children: Sonny Lee McCurdy and his wife, Jeanne, of Perry, MO, Loretta Gette and her husband, Jason of Middletown, and Kevin McCurdy, and his wife, Samatha of Middletown, their grandchildren: Brittany and Charles Schmidt of Perry, Macy McCurdy, of Center, Nathan, Michael, Elijah, Abbie Gette, of Middletown, and Kalvin and Emma McCurdy, of Middletown, great-grandchildren: Bo, Hazel, Preston Schmidt of Perry, Pieper, Hadley, Braxton McCurdy of Center, one sister, Mary Elliott, brother, Elvins Martin, 2 sister-in-laws; Barbara (Ronnie) Brewer of Vandalia, and Mary Jane McCurdy of Bowling Green, as well as many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lacy and Mary Martin, her step-father, Pete Williams, infant daughter, Dora Ann McCurdy, 2 granddaughters:  Maddie McCurdy, Angel McCurdy, and grandson, Brandon McCurdy, her in-laws, Frances Sr and Billie Jean McCurdy, her siblings: Jerry Martin, Dora Mae Barker, and Henry Martin, and sister-in-law, Tish McCurdy.

A Celebration of Life Service to be held on February 10, 2024, 2:00 p.m., at the New Harmony Christian Church, 5511 Pike 454, Curryville, MO, 63339.
