Kristen Leigh Marin-Mergler, 60, of Troy, MO, formerly of Grass Valley, California, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025. She was born April 10, 1965 in Grass Valley, California, the child of Richard H. and Bonnie   Heather Marin. Growing up she attended the local schools, later graduating Nevada Union High School, class of 1983. Kristen married Elliott B. Mergler, April 9, 2016, in Truckee, CA, and the rest is history. She loved nature, especially birds, and butterflies. Kristen was a chef, and she loved to cook and bake. She enjoyed working on crafts and traveling, especially to Disneyland. Kirsten was a proud member of the Lincoln County Republican Club. Kristen never met a stranger and always wore a warm smile. She did more for everyone than she did for herself. She will be remembered as a person who always put others first in her life.

Kirsten is survived by her beloved husband, Elliott B. Mergler of Troy, her mother, Bonnie Marin of  Grass Valley, CA, her two daughters: Maggie Marin of Paris, TX, and Renee Henslee of Grass Valley, CA, 3 grandchildren: Vivian Henslee, Elizabeth Henslee  and Trinity Marin-Brinkerholf. 2 brothers: Matthew Marin of Grass Valley, CA, and Marty Marin of Elverta, CA, Stepson Bode K. Mergler of Marysville, CA,  as well as many other relatives and friends.
