Lauren Jill Orberson, 70, passed away on September 29, 2026, at SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital – Lake Saint Louis. Born on April 17, 1956, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, Jill was the daughter of Harrison and Margie (Jacobs) Shope. Growing up on a farm, she developed a love for animals and especially enjoyed raising horses. Creative from an early age, she enjoyed seeing her son's lego creations, designing and sewing Barbie clothes for her daughters and she loved coloring.

Jill worked as a self-employed hairstylist and truly loved her profession. Over the years, many of her clients became treasured friends, making her work about much more than simply styling hair. In her free time, she loved the beach, working in her garden, experimenting on her families hair and spending time with all the grandchildren. Jill made so many special memories with the love of her life, her caveman Dennis! She adored and appreciated all the goofy moments!
