With hearts full of love and sorrow, we share the passing of our beautiful son, Lavelle "Vellie" Wayne Eugene Prior, who gained his angel wings on Saturday, December 27, 2025. Though his time on this earth was brief, Vellie filled our lives with immeasurable joy, light, and love. He was truly an angel on earth… sweet, gentle, and loving beyond words. His smiles, soft giggles, and innocence brought comfort and happiness to everyone who had the blessing of knowing him.
Lavelle Wayne Eugene Prior was born on June 30, 2025, to his loving parents Elishah & Mary Prior. He is also survived by his siblings, Clementine & Kadosin Prior. His grandparents, Kelley Hendricks, Jacob & Kelly Hoover, Darrel & Lori Prior. His great-grandparents Harold & Roxie Hendricks, and Mary Ann Prior. His uncles Tyrin Hendricks and Tranlin Hoover. His great-Uncle Harold & Aunt Kelly Jo Hendricks. His dear cousin Harper Jo Hendricks and bonus family Kellie Lybarger & Ava Allen.

He is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal great-grandparents and his special grandfather, George Milosevich.

Vellie will be forever cherished and deeply missed by our family. We will carry his memory in our hearts for the rest of our lives. His love remains woven into every quiet moment, every memory, and every breath of remembrance. We take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace, wrapped in eternal love, and watching over us as our precious angel.

Visitation to be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory, 701 Business Highway 61 N. Bowling Green, MO 63334, 636-528-8244.

A private memorial service will be held.
