Leona Jean Taylor, 65, of Troy, MO, passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2021. She was born on April 23, 1956, in Perryville, Arkansas, the daughter of William Leon Carter Sr. & Wilma Jean (Frost) Carter. Leona grew up in Arkansas with her brother, Leon and sister, Nette. After attending the local schools, she married Larry Taylor, and the couple were blessed with two children: Travis, and Monika. Leona's  life was dedicated to raising her children and caring for her family. Later in life, she was blessed to become a grandmother, this made her so happy. Leona was a kind and loving person and will be remembered lovingly by all those who knew her.

She is survived by her children: Travis Taylor and his wife, Laura, of Creve Coeur, MO, Monika Henke, and her husband, Eric, of Troy, MO, 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 1 brother, Leon Carter and his wife, Shelly of Green Briar, Arkansas, and her sister, Nette Schultz and her husband, Mo of Lonoke , Arkansas, as well as many other relatives and friends.

Her Memorial visitation and service will be conducted by the family.  Visitation scheduled from 3-5p.m. on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at the Fairgrounds in Troy.
