Lois M. Foster, 91, of Silex, MO, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 14, 2021 at SSM Hospital at Lake St. Louis.  She was born on April 19, 1930 in Donnelson, IL to Jesse and Laura (Lewey) Vogel.  Lois was raised in East Alton in defense housing.  After her formal schooling, she started Owen's Glass Company. Several years later she married Lucien Foster.  They were blessed with two daughters: Deborah and Diana.   Some of her hobbies included doing jigsaw puzzels, word search puzzels and doing 2000-piece puzzels.  When her health began to fail, she liked to go for a ride with her daughter, stop at Dairy Queen and order a strawberry sundae and proceed to Troy City Park to watch the ducks.

Surviving are her loving family:  her daughter, Deborah Morgan of Moscow Mills; her siblings: Fred (Elaine) Vogel, Irma Wysong, and LaWanda Johnson.  She is further survived by her adoring grandchildren: Rissa Virgin, Chris Crum, Laura Virgin, Megan Morgan, Robert Hemsath, Amanda Morris, Ronnie Morris, Jennifer May, Phillip May and great-grandchildren: Elijah, Noah, Christopher, Natalie, Holden and Hailey.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Diana Maynard and her eight siblings: Lorene Sammons, Mary Nell Draper, Jessie Storey, Murl Blaine, Evelyn Ballard, John Vogel, and infants Jackie Vogel and Louis Vogel.
