Lola M. "Peggy" Feather
Lola M. Feather, lovingly known to many as Peggy, age 84, of Troy, MO, formerly of Bowling Green, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2026, at Baptist Home Tri-County in Vandalia, Missouri. She was born on March 19, 1941, to Oliver and Nellie Perkins. Lola attended school in Belle, Missouri, and lived a life rooted in faith, family, and caring for others.
In 1962, Lola was united in marriage to William G. Feather Sr., with whom she shared many years of love, devotion, and family.
Peggy was a true homemaker in every sense of the word. Her door was always open for coffee, heartfelt conversations, and quiet encouragement. She never let anyone leave her home hungry; feeding people was one of the ways she showed love. She was especially known for her pimento cheese, a favorite among family and friends. Peggy loved gardening and canning every summer, filling both her pantry and her home with warmth and generosity.
Above all, Peggy had a deep love for Jesus and found joy in sharing her faith with others. Whether through conversation, kindness, or simply the way she lived her life, her faith was evident and meaningful to those around her. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Her steady presence, strong faith, and giving heart will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered. Peggy is survived by her husband, William G. Feather Sr., and her children:
Bill Jr. (Jean) Feather of Elsberry,
John Feather of Frankford,
Annell (Thomas) Willemarck of Curryville,
Danny ( Kathy) Feather of Frankford,
Macie Sinclair of Bowling Green, and
Matt (Danielle Harmon) Feather of Bowling Green;
along with many grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Cindy Rose; her grandchildren Charles Rose III, Jeff Feather, J.J., and Levi Horton, her son-in-law James Sinclair; her parents Oliver and Nellie Perkins; and her siblings Irene Perkins, Verline Hinds, Oliver "Bud" Perkins, Alice Perkins, and Mary Perkins.
