Makayla Sashe' Briner,27, of Wright City, MO, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022 at SSM- Lake St. Louis Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 25, 1995 in Wentzville, MO to Jeff and Tracy (Winberry) Briner. Makayla attended the local schools with her sister, DeAsha  and graduated from Wright City High School. After high school, she attended the Midwest Institute and became a CNA. Makayla went on to work for a few years at Doctor's office. She always had a beautiful smile and was kind to the patients and her co-workers. The joy of her life was her beautiful  four year old daughter, Luisa Mattea Strathaus. Makayla and Luisa spent many hours outside, in the vegetable and flower gardens. She enjoyed time spent with her daughter, family and friends. Makayla was a beautiful woman , inside and out, who was taken from us too soon. She will be sadly missed and long remembered by all those who knew and loved her.

Makayla is survived by her sweet, beautiful daughter, Luisa Mattea Strathaus of Wright City, MO,  Paul Strathaus, parents: Jeff and Tracy Briner of Wright City, MO, sister, DeAsha Makya Briner of St. Charles, MO, grandparents: Grace Winberry and Steve Geringer of Winfield, MO, and Linda Briner of Troy, MO, as well as many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Kenneth Briner and her great-grandparents, Jack and Louise Indelicato.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2022 from 3:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. at McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1304 Boone Street, Troy, MO, 63379, 636-528-8244.

Funeral Mass- will be held on Friday, May 20, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 100 Thompson Drive, Troy, MO, 63379. Father Mike Lydon to officiate. Interment to follow in  Sacred Heart Cemetery Troy, MO. Memorial donations for Makayla's daughter- Luisa Mattea Strathaus checks made out to: Tracy Briner or Grace Winberry or Steve Geringer.
