Mamie F. Gambino,103, of Troy, MO, passed away on September 29, 2022, at Lincoln County Nursing and Rehab, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on May 27, 1919 in St. Louis, MO to Bartholemew and Frances (Calandro) Gambino.  Mamie attended the local schools, along with her large group of siblings.  Mamie lived with her niece, Mary and great nephew, Nick Gambino.  She later lived with her dad in his later years until his passing.  After that, she moved in with her brother, John and wife, Vita Gambino.  Mamie was a hugh blessing in this family.  She made frequent trips to California to spend time with her sisters and their families.  Mamie enjoyed her beer and loved the St. Louis Cardinals and watching wrestling on the T.V.  Everyone attributed her long life to her habit of a beer-a-day.  Mamie had a heart of gold and loved everyone, especially her family.  She was like a mother figure to her niece, many nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.  Mamie will be sadly missed and long remembered by all those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her loving family members: Bart, John and Mary, and nieces and nephews: Mary Ann Frances, Matt, Tony, Theresa, Margie, Fran, Betty, Sam, Marilyn, Joann and Johnny.  She was like a grandmother to her great-nieces and nephews, Nick Gambino, Jamon Gambino, Jaime Stanek and Cyndi Allen and many others.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date for Mamie Gambino.
