Obituary

Manuel Favignano, Jr., 78, of Foley, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2026 at Evelyn's House in Creve Coeur. He was born on August 15, 1947, in St. Louis to Manuel and Cleola (Carter) Favignano Sr. The family lived in St. Louis until Manuel was 12, then moved to Florissant. He graduated from Hazelwood High School and later graduated from University of Missouri-Rolla (UMR). Serving for 6 years as a member of the National Guard was important to Manuel.

After serving in the military, he married his sweetheart, Diane Rose. They met through Diane's brother. The couple was married on June 2, 1973 at Salem Lutheran Church in Florissant. They were blessed with three children: Jason, Heather, and  Felicia. The couple lived in Florissant until 1999, and then moved to Foley. He worked as a civil engineer with Hankins Construction Company, for many years, serving in several capacities. Manuel was a good provider for his family and took excellent care of them.

Some of his past times included fishing, target shooting, collecting Indian relics and collecting oil lanterns. His family was his No. 1 priority and he cherished each and everyone of them.

Surviving are his beloved wife, Diane Favignano of Foley; his three loving children and their spouses: Jason (Kimberly) Favignano of St. Peters, Heather (Jeremy) Greenway of Moscow Mills, Felicia (Alexander) Milberg of Moscow Mills; his adoring grandchildren: Megan (Ryan) Hawkins, Cody (Abby) Thompson, Braylen Milberg and four great-grandchildren: Luna, Simon, Teddy and Mabel; other relatives and friends.
