Margaret Herrmann, 91, of Silex, Missouri, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2022.  Margaret was born on Oct. 28, 1930 to Adam and Valerie Kunzelmann in Romania.  On April 13, 1959, Margaret emigrated with her nine-year old son from Darmstadt, West Germany to Brooklyn, New York, where she resided for 59 years.  When her health declined in 2015, she moved to Maryland under the care of her son and daughter-in-law.  In 2019, they all relocated to Silex, Missouri.  Margaret was always a hard worker and had established a long and successful career with BASF in New Jersey, retiring in 1995.  Margaret was a long-time member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Brooklyn Heights, New York.  Following her retirement, Margaret found enjoyment and purpose as a full-time volunteer for the Marble Collegiate Church Thrift Store in New York.  She leaves behind a family who truly loved her and who will miss her terribly.

She is survived by her only child, Johnny "Klaus" Herrmann and his wife, Donna; sisters: Zieglinde Engle and Friederike Szmyt, and brother Kurt Kunzelmann, all of Germany; seven grandchildren: Hans Herrmann of South Carolina, Michi (Tommy) Morgan of Maryland, Carl Herrmann of Florida, and Tricia (Rob) Mendenhall, Lisa (Terry) Lipe, Michael (Melissa) Herrmann, Christina (Shannon) Faulk of Missouri; 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins in Germany.

Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, Adam and Valerie Kunzelmann and her sister, Erika.

Visitation scheduled from 10a.m. until 1p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2022 at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1304 Boone St., Troy, MO 63379.

A Memorial service scheduled at 1p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2022 at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory, Troy location.  Chaplain Kurt Greenwood to officiate.  Inurnment to follow in Millcreek Cemetery, Silex,MO.
