Margaret Lois (Hunn) Meyer passed away July 15 ,2023 at her home in Union, MO. Born to Vernette and Vera (Groce) Hunn on December 29,1931 in Troy, MO, Margaret was the third of ten children. She was baptized and a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Troy, MO and later a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Union, MO.

When she was young, she attended Rock Spring School, St. Mary's Grade School and graduated from Sacred Heart Grade School. Margaret graduated from Buchanan High School in 1950.

On June 11,1955 she married John E. (Mike) Meyer at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Hawk Point. To this union eight children were born.

Margaret started her professional career as a florist at age 16 when she went to work for Carroll Watts at Carroll's Flowers in Troy. In 1972 Margaret and Mike moved their family to Union, MO where she continued her floral career working for Carol and Gene Platt at Platt's Nursery until she retired.

Margaret is survived by her loving children: Tom, Ramona, Joan and grandchildren Sarah and Kyle Meyer of the home; daughters Nancy Weller, Springfield, MO, and Ruth Cahill, Union, MO; sons Bob Meyer, St. Clair, MO, John Meyer, Union, MO and Roy (Susan) Meyer of Leslie, MO.

Grandchildren: Samantha (Skyler) Spartan, Shane, Anna, John P. (Morgan), Philicia Meyer, Amber (Jake) Friedel, Jamie (Josh) Peirce, Dylan Meyer; Katie (Brian) Ingle, Kenny, Kody, Kaleb Shamblin and Kristen (Joshua) Wideman, Cassie (Jamie) Kurth and Vanessa (Khang) Nguyen.

Great grandchildren: Emelia Peirce, John Cole Meyer, Vivian Friedel; Lacie, Jackson and Alexis Ingle; Kohen, Karter and Kynadie Wideman, Klayton, Kamryn, Madelyn, Kinsley and Kole Shamblin; and Gabe Zingrich.

She is survived by her loving brother Francis Hunn of Ladonia, MO, many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband John in 1991; her parents, her brothers:  Victor, Richard, Leonard, Norbert, Melvin, Marvin and Glennon Hunn and sister,  Regina Bueneman. Her daughters-in-law:  Linda (John) and Tina (Bob) Meyer:  sons-in-law Rocky Cahill (Ruth) and Bruce Weller (Nancy).

Pallbearers are grandchildren - Kyle, Sarah, Dylan, Samantha, Jamie, Shane, Anna, John, Philicia and Amber. Services will be held at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral Home in Troy, MO with the burial to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 21, 2023 from 10 a.m.- 1 p.m. at McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory 1304 Boone Street Troy, MO 63379
