Marilyn Marie Smith,85,of O'Fallon, passed away on August 4, 2024 at SSM- St. Charles Hospital. She was born on December 3, 1938 in Overland, MO to Harold Lendal and Margaret Warner (Berry) Brown. Marilyn attended the local schools and graduated from Incarnate Word Academy High School. She was married to Kenneth Presson and to this union were born two children; Mark and Lisa. She worked as a beautician along with her mother and sisters at Brown's Beauty Shop.. Marilyn went on to become a pre-need salesperson for Baue Funeral Homes and later McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory. Her family and friends describe her as, "Outgoing, social, warm and loving." She was united in marriage with Glayden E. Smith Sr. in Florissant, MO. They spent many wonderful years together with family and friends. He treated her like gold and she deserved every minute of it. Marilyn loved to talk, laugh ,and meet new people, she never met a stranger. Some of her hobbies were; reading, tai chi, crossword puzzles and playing on her iPad.. She will be sadly missed and long remembered by all those who knew and loved her.

Marilyn is survived by her two children, Mark Presson of Troy, MO, Lisa and husband Paul Lucido of O'Fallon, MO, grandchildren, Tricia (Ryan) Garcia, Dianna (Ryan) Shaw, Michael (Nancy) Lucido and Chelsea (Danny) Sanchez-Mueller, great-grandchildren, Avery, Alex, Ryan, Luke, Kate, Wesley, Riley, Emery, Carly, Nora and Ethan, sister, Linda (Ken)Behlmann of Clayton, MO, step-children, and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband , Glayden E. Smith and her daughter -in-law, Lisa Presson , her first husband, Kenneth Presson and siblings, Peggy Wells and Jim Brown.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 9, 2024 from 3 p.m.- 7 p.m. at McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory 1304 Boone Street Troy, MO 63379

Funeral Mass- will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at 10 a.m. Sacred Heart Catholic Church 100 Thompson Drive Troy, MO 63379 Father Edward Voltz to officiate .

Interment- Troy City Cemetery Troy, MO
