Obituary

Mark Anthony Ferguson, a dedicated father and husband, went to be with the Lord Thursday Feb. 15, 2024 peacefully at home.
Mark was born in Hanging Rock, Ohio on Nov. 12, 1958 and Graduated from Madison High School in 1977. He resided for most of his life in the Shelby, Ohio area, having moved to Troy, Missouri in 2011. Mark was a man of the highest integrity and deepest love of family. He was a Proud General Motors Auto worker for 38 years from 1977-2016. Throughout his career he was an EAP Representative and an active member of the UAW. Mark was a devoted follower of Christ and Member of Troy First Assembly of God. Mark was a man of God, unashamed of the Gospel and full of love for his fellow man. After he retired, he dedicated most of his days to ministry, helping the community and his family. You could always count on him to lend a hand and serve in any capacity he was able. He was a jack of all trades, putting it to many uses; you name it, he could fix it and would be so glad to do so. He committed his life to showing the hope of Jesus in everyday circumstances. He had a wonderful Men's Ministry and Kitchen Ministry cooking and serving 100's of meals throughout the year at his church. He lived life to the fullest every day, filling our lives with laughter, surprise, kindness and above all, love. There is no one quite as unique as he was; we will miss him dearly and look forward to seeing him again someday in Heaven.

Mark is survived by his wife of 35 years, married Sept. 24, 1988, Rev. Cherie Ferguson; his children Mark (Melanie) Ferguson, Hollie (Travis) Thompson, Mariah (Tyler) Douglas and George (Michaella) Ferguson; his grandchildren Jonathan Ferguson, Kamron (Jasylyn) Kasper, Kaleb Kasper, Olivia Ferguson, Karissa Kasper, Katelyn Kasper, Audrie Thompson, Aiden Thompson, and Shane Ferguson; his great grandchild Kamron Kasper Jr.; his siblings Julie Barber, Debi Kirkpatrick, Craig (Kimberly) Ferguson, and Joseph R. Shepherd; and his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Mark is preceded in death by his mother Jeannie Hill, brother Mike Ferguson, Children Cherree Ferguson and Miranda Ferguson.
