Mary E Looney, 77, of Moscow Mills, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Warrenton Manor.  She was the oldest of five daughters born to James M. and Mary Anna (Beumel) Stringer.  Mary was responsible for some of her younger siblings at the early age of eight.  She was always a loving and caring daughter and sister. After graduating from high school, she attended junior college.  She met her future husband, Bob Looney, at the bowling alley in Arnold. It is interesting to note that  the three Stringer sisters married three Looney brothers.  Mary was blessed with two sons: Michael and Harry.  They were her pride and joy.  She was a caring and loving mother and wife to her children and husband. Mary later worked at the records' center in St. Louis for the government.  Some of her pastimes included playing Bingo, traveling to 47 states out of 50 in their R.V. and enjoying the journey.  She will be greatly missed and long remembered by all those who knew and loved her.

Surviving are her loving family members: her two sons: Michael and wife Mary Stringer of O'Fallon, Harry Donovan of Silex; her three adoring grandchildren: Michael, Nicole and Tosha.  She is further survived by her four  younger sisters:  Ula Emmons, Virginia Stringer, Dorothy Looney, Frances Looney; many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bob Looney.
