Maryln Janette Rahmier, 86, of Moscow Mills, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at SSM Hospital, Lake St. Louis.  She was born on Dec. 2, 1937 in Moscow Mills to Edgar Ralph and Georgia Myrtle (Martin) Pinkley.  During her youth, her family moved around a lot.  She attended various local schools and began working  at the age of 13, helping to support her family.   She was baptized to publicly declare her faith in Jesus Christ at a young age.  She attended the First Baptist Church of Moscow Mills. She was united in marriage, June 12, 1954 to George Henry "Rabbit" Rahmier.  During their 16 years of marriage, they had three children: Vicky Lynn, Ricky Randolph and Daniel Lee.  Since the mid-1970s, Marilyn was committed to Melvin Gilbert, Sr., her lifelong partner and companion. She served as a Postal Clerk for nearly 40 years, most of which was at the St. Peters, Missouri Post Office, retiring in June of 2005.  Her hobbies included: playing cards, quilting, crocheting, playing Bingo, and cooking.  Marlyn loved her family very much and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She was a member of the Women's Fire Auxillary and VFW Ladies Auxillary Post No. 8828.  Marilyn will be greatly missed and long remembered by all those who knew and loved her.

Surviving are her loving children: Vicky Cody and husband Mike, Ricky Rahmier and wife Penny, Daniel Rahmier and wife Kim; her grandchildren: Matthew Cody and wife Teresa, Katrina Rahmier-Bueltmann and husband Rich, Kristina Wallace and husband David and Lisa Rahmier.  Maryln is further survived by her adoring great-grandchildren: Ethan Cody, Lyla Saving, Kylie Wallace and Ella Wallace, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband: George Henry "Rabbit" Rahmier on June 3, 1970  and lifelong partner, Melvin Gilbert, Sr. on June 9, 2017.

Funeral service scheduled at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory, Troy location.  Officiating:  Rev. Dr. Ron Bullock.  Interment to follow in St. Paul Cemetery, Old Monroe.  Serving as pallbearers:  Rich Bueltmann, David Wallace, Ethan Cody, Matthew Cody, Michael Cody, Daniel Rahmier and Honorary pallbearers: Ricky Rahmier and Melvin Gilbert, Jr.
